Tree Plantation Drive Held at DC Office Rupnagar on World Environment Day

Rupnagar, June 5: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a tree plantation drive was organized at the DC Office, Rupnagar, under the leadership of Sh. Jasjit Singh, PCS, Chief Minister’s Field Officer (CMFO), Rupnagar. He was joined by Sh. Jagjiwan Singh, District Sports Officer (DSO), Rupnagar, Sh. Rahul Verma, Assistant Town Planner (ATP), Ropar, along with staff members of the DC Office, Rupnagar.

The initiative witnessed the plantation of several saplings within the office premises, symbolizing a collective commitment to environmental protection and sustainable living.

Speaking on the occasion, CMFO Jasjit Singh underlined the crucial role of trees in preserving the ecological balance and combating climate change. He conveyed a strong message advocating for the plantation and sustained upkeep of trees, emphasizing that these actions are vital for ensuring a healthy environment for future generations.
