IG Gurpreet Bhullar conducts surprise inspection of police check posts in Rupnagar

Rupnagar, May 9: IG Range Rupnagar Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar on Tuesday conducted surprise inspection of check posts at various places in district Rupnagar.

While conducting a surprise visit he said that following the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Maan and DGP Punjab Mr. Gaurav Yadav, district Rupnagar police has been keeping a tab on every movement of suspicious and antisocial elements. About temporary fourteen police check posts have been conducting the checking of vehicles coming to the District to ensure peace and harmony.

Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar further said that the main purpose of this checking is to create a comfortable environment for the common people, and to build up constructive faith among them. This campaign is being conducted to crack down and control the mischievous elements so that criminal minded as well as anti-social elements should not commit any untoward incident.

Before starting the flag march Mr. Bhullar interacted with the Punjab Police officials where he said that it is the first responsibility of the police department to provide a safe and peaceful environment to the residents at all levels, for which all of you should perform your duty impartially and fearlessly. He said that all of you are directly involved in the society, due to which all kinds of information reaches you, after which it is your duty to address people’s general issues to serious issues.

On this occasion, SSP Rupnagar Mr. Vivek S. Soni said that under the same campaign more checkpoints have also been installed in district Rupnagar today on rotation basis. Vehicles are being thoroughly checked and nobody will be allowed to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the district at any cost.

He also instructed the police officials that no laxity will be tolerated if anyone found dereliction in duty.

On this occasion, SP Headquarter Mr. Rajpal Singh Hundal and other senior officers of the police department were present.
