Government College student Jugraj Singh wins silver medal in International Canoe Federation 2023

Rupnagar, June 25: Jugraj Singh, a student of Government College Ropar, won the silver medal in the International Canoe Federation 2023 ICF and has enlightened the country with his hard work and dedication.

Giving information about this, Coach Kayaking Canoeing Coaching Center Katli, Jagjeevan Singh said that Jugraj Singh, who is taking training from Coaching Center Katli, was selected for the International Canoe Federation 2023 ICF Dragon Boat World Cup competition. This international competition was held from June 20 to June 23, 2023 at Zigui, Yichang, Hubei in China. Jugraj was selected in the Indian team for the competition for his outstanding performance.

Jagjeevan Singh said that in this World Cup, Jugraj Singh won the silver medal for India and has written the name of Kayaking Canoeing Coaching Center Katli in golden words, which will inspire more young people to participate in the games.

He further informed that Kayaking Canoeing Coaching Center is being run by Punjab Government Sports Department at Katli, in which Jugraj Singh has been getting training continuously for the last four years.

Coach said that many more international level players will be produced from this center in future with the support of the district administration and sports department. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav and District Sports Officer Rupesh Kumar congratuled Jugraj Singh for his historical achievement.
