Invitation For Expression of Interest For Running and Cycling at District of Rupnagar

The District Olympic Association, Rupnagar request for proposal for selection of organizing event consultant/curator agency for the 2019 Cyclothan and Marathon in the District Rupnagar. The District Olympic Association, Rupnagar is organizing a long distance Run and Cycle ride called “Bhakhra Nangal Wheel & Strides” – comprising of 21Km, 10Km and 5Km of running races and 100km and 50 km of cycling races in the District Rupnagar.

Local, national and internation athletes are expected to participate in the maiden edition of the event in Feb/March 2019. The aim is to make this marathon an annual event which would take place every year and should attract thousand os participants including international athletes. The event wishes to get to a stage where it could be made into international brand with wide recognition amongst running and cycling enthusiasts and be counted among some of the world’s popular marathons and cyclothons.

In order to execute this event, District Olympic Association, Rupnagar wishes to appoint an organizing event consultant/curator with wide experiance which can deliver on the above broad objective. The District Olympic Association, Rupnagar thus here by invites Expression of Interest from registered organizations/agencies/firms/companies that have experience/interest in organizing events in the track and field or athletics or sports events.
The scope of work is not only limited to erection, assembling and supply of various items but also involves creativity, marketing and selling ability. The District Olympic Association, Rupnagar shall provide necessary coordination and infrastructure support for hosting the event and same will be held under aegis of The District Olympic Association, Rupnagar.

It has been been tentatively scheduled for 17th March, 2019 in the District Rupnagar. Eminent personalities and VVIPs of national and international repute are also expected to attend the vent, so all the arrangements and facilities must be of very high standard and quality. The entire layout is to design keeping in mind the protocol requirements for such prestigious event. It is also expected that a large number of people will visit Bhakra Nangal Wheels & Strides, so all necessary safety, security and emergency measures must be kept in mind while planning and execution of the work.
