Rupnagar, March 8: Deputy Commissioner Mr. Himanshu Jain visited the de-addiction center, where he met with patients undergoing treatment and motivated them to quit drugs.
He encouraged them and urged that by giving up drugs, they would mark the beginning of a new and brighter chapter in their lives.
During the visit, he reviewed the facilities available at the center and instructed the staff to provide the best possible treatment and ensure support to all the patients.
Deputy Commissioner assured the patients that overcoming addiction would help them regain control of their lives and contribute positively to society. He emphasized that their transformation could inspire other young individuals struggling with addiction.
He further highlighted that drug addiction does not only affect an individual’s personal life but also has serious consequences for families and society. Therefore, breaking free from addiction is crucial.
Mr. Himanshu Jain also interacted with all seven patients currently undergoing treatment at the center and said that the Punjab government is providing free treatment services to support their recovery. He urged them to stay determined in their journey toward a drug-free life.
Additionally, Deputy Commissioner inspected the emergency medical services at the Distt hospital, reviewed the available treatment options, and issued necessary instructions to officials to further improve healthcare arrangements.
