Deputy Commissioner visits Civil Hospital Morinda and reviews services being provided

Committee formed, orders issued to submit report within a week

Morinda, December 31: Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Himanshu Jain today made a surprise visit to Government Hospital Morinda and reviewed the health services. He said that this hospital will be updated at a cost of Rs 1 crore and state-of-the-art services will be provided to the patients.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Himanshu Jain said that the Punjab Government is committed to providing better health services to the people and our aim is to further improve health services in health centers by updating infrastructure.

He said that patients will get all the medicines from within the hospital itself and the tests are also being done completely free of cost in the hospitals.

Talking about the modernization of Civil Hospital Morinda, Deputy Commissioner Shri Himanshu Jain said that a committee has been formed, the members of which will be Civil Surgeon Rupnagar, Sub Divisional Magistrate Morinda, Executive Engineer Public Works Department Rupnagar, SMO Morinda. He said that orders have been issued to this committee to submit a report
within a week regarding this modernization hospital.

During this visit, the Deputy Commissioner checked various wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients and their care takers. Along with this, he also gave directions to Medical officers, to maintain cleanliness in the hospital and also instructed the doctors and other staff of government hospitals to be gentle towards the patients. He said that this series of checking will continue in the future as well.
