Director Health & Family Welfare Punjab conducts surprise visit of Civil Hospital

Rupnagar, February 5: To ensure quality health facilities to the people, Director Health and Family Welfare Punjab Dr. Jasminder Kaur and State Vaccination Officer Dr. Balwinder Kaur on Wednesday conducted surprise visit of the Civil Surgeon’s Office and Civil Hospital Rupnagar.

On this occasion, they visited the DEIC, labor room and SNCU at the maternal and child ward, OPD wards of children, pregnant women, vaccination room cold storage point etc. They assessed the maternal and child health services and also interacted with pregnant and new mothers regarding the health services being provided MCH centre.

Dr. Jasminder Kaur interacted with the DEIC staff and said that RBSK teams should be instructed to facilitate children for free treatment and counseling at the DIC center. Along with this, all the concerned staff and officers were instructed to perform their duties with dedication.

To pay special attention to cleanliness in the hospital, she said that the instructions regarding bio-medical waste should be strictly followed.

She said that medicines should not be prescribed to the patients from outside. Expressing satisfaction with the services being provided to the patients, she asked them to further improve the health services and a discussion was held in the presence of all the health program officers.

On this occasion, State Program Officer Dr. Vikram, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Navroop Kaur, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Swapanjit Kaur, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Dr. Amarjit Singh and all the staff members of Civil Hospital Rupnagar were present.
