Orders to ensure tertiary health services to beneficiaries under Mukhya Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana

Rupnagar, November 7: To ensure quality health services to the common people in government hospitals and Aam Aadmi Clinics, Administrative Secretary Health Department Mr. Kumar Rahul today visited the wards of the District Hospital and also interacted with the patients about treatment services.

He issued instructions to Civil surgeon Dr. Tarsem Singh, senior medical officer and medical officers that the patients who have come for treatment in the government hospital should not be sent to bring medicines from outside or to undergo tests in any circumstances.

Mr. Kumar Rahul said that the health department is providing medicines to the government hospitals on a large scale, for which it becomes mandatory that no patient is forced to get expensive treatment or medicines by paying money from outside. While inspecting the tertiary level health services being provided under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, he said that the eligible beneficiaries should be ensured free health services in the empanelled private hospitals apart from the government hospital. Besides this, the health insurance card of the eligible beneficiaries must be issued.

Giving instructions regarding the dialysis unit, the Administrative Secretary, Health Department said that services should be provided to the patients through four machines in this unit and regular checking of the dialysis units established in private hospitals should be done so that patients suffering from serious diseases cannot be exploited at any level.

Mr. Kumar Rahul while reviewing the test sampling process of food items under the Mobile Food Testing Laboratory said that the sampling should be done on a war footing through this mobile lab and nutritious and clean food should be provided to the people.

On this occasion, they checked the district hospital’s emergency room, SNCU, children’s ward and vaccination room, labor room, TB center, Thalassian ward, medicine dispensary etc. and also visited the de-addiction center.

Deputy commissioner Rupnagar Mr. Himanshu Jain, ACS Dr. Anju, SMO Dr. Tarsem singh, Dr. Swapanjit kaur, Dr. Navrup kaur and other seniour officers were also present.
