e-Governance Projects:

1. (a) SMS Service of Blood Bank Management System: SMS service of Punjab Blood Bank Management System(BBMS) was formally inaugurated by Ms Tanu Kashyap, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ropar on 21-08-2015 at Civil Hospital Rupnagar. This service is developed to facilitate the citizens to get the following two information about blood banks, through SMS on their mobile:-

This service is connected with the database of Punjab Online Blood Bank Management System (BBMS), so the citizen always get latest information about blood stock through SMS.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Tanu Kashyap, IAS appreciated the efforts of NIC for developing this service. She said, before this service the information related to blood bank contact details and blood group wise stock was readily available on the Punjab blood bank management system portal (http://bbmspunjab.gov.in), but citizen has to visit this portal to get this information and a computer and internet connectivity also required. But now a days, every house hold has at least one mobile phone and anyone can get blood stock information by sending predefined SMS to 51696. This service works on every mobile phone without using any internet connectivity. For citizens it is very good & useful facility to get blood information in emergency or in requirement of blood.

1.(b) Blood Bank Management System (BBMS). The software has been implemented at blood banks of the district. The project was inaugurated by Ms. Vini Mahajan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Health, Govt. of Punjab on 17-02-2014 at Civil Hospital, Rupnagar. With this web based application a citizen can know the status of availability of blood of various groups online at diffeent blood banks. The site can be accessed by http://bbmspunjab.gov.in

2. e-SUWIDHA: It has been conceived to facilitate citizen by capturing the input at a single point, defining a specified delivery date depending upon the type of service and accepting cash at the counter itself. Citizen is issued a receipt bearing a Refrence number, which specifies the date of delivery of services. Each type of service has a pre-defined delivery time and system automatically calculates the service delivery date.
The time of delievery of service depends upon on the nature of service as specified by the Govt. of Punjab.
All kind of payments for the fees etc can be made at the SUWIDHA counter. This further saves the inconvenience of the citizen caused to visit either bank or treasury office to deposit such payments

3. e-Prisons : It is covering all the activities related to Prisoners in Prisons, developed by National Informatics Centre, Hqrs., New Delhi. The various functional modules / activites undertaken so far are:

- Prisoner Information Management System;
- Visitors Information Management System;
- Hospital Management System;
- Courts Management System;

4. Court Cases Monitoring System (CCMS) : Court Cases Monitoring System has been implemented in DC, Office. Using this system one can get the information regarding various court cases running in different courts Various reports like court wise list of cases, date wise list of cases, status of a particular case can be genereated.

5. PGRAMS - Punjab Grievances Monitoring System (http://publicgrievancepb.gov.in)

This software has been implemented at DC Office. It monitors the Public Grievances received at D.C. Office. A number of reports like Grievances received on a particular date and within a date range etc. are generated.

6. Dak Monitoring System

DAK Monitoring System is used to monitor the various types of DAK received by RIA branch in DC Office. There are about 11 types of Registers such as Govt. Dak, Human Rights, SDM's/Tehsildars, Govt. Letters, Fax, Vidhan Sabha / Lok Sabha Questions etc. maintained by RIA Branch. It generates various reports such as Register wise and Date wise details of Dak received.

7. Web site of Ropar District:

The website of Rupnagar District was inaugurated by Hon 'able Governor of Punjab. The URL of the site is http://rupnagar.nic.in. The site contains the exclusive information about the District such as Administrative Setup, District Statistics, Cities and Towns of the district with their historical background, Various Places of Interests and important Festivals & Melas of the District. Photo Gallery having a number of Photographs & map of the district is another highlight of the site.

Lt. Gen. J.R.F. Jacob, Hon'able Governer of Punjab inagurating the official Web site of District Rupnagar on 8th May 2002. Ms. Seema Jain IAS, DC Rupnagar, Mr Navneet Kukreja, Sr. Technical Director & SIO Punjab State Unit and Mr. Rohit Jaitely DIO, NIC District Centre, Rupnagar are also present on the occasion.

8. Integrated Social Security Schemes Monitoring

This system has been implemented for the office of District Social Security Officer which takes care for the disbursement of Pension to eligible beneficiaries under Old Age Pension, Financial Assistance to Widow & Destitute Women, Financial Assistance to Dependent Children and Financial Assistance to Disabled Persons schemes. The database contains records of approximately 55000 beneficiaries. Bank & Branch wise reports are printed every quarter for disbursement of pension under these schemes.

9. G.P. Fund Monitoring

This software has been implemented for Establishment Branch of DC Office. Data of Ministerial & Revenue staff of DC Office is being maintained. A number of reports are generated including Annual GPF Statements for individuals & Consolidated Report etc are generated.

10. MPLAD Scheme:

This software is developed for monitoring of funds allocated for various development works by the Member Parliament under MPLAD Scheme. A query system has been designed to see the funds allocated to a particular village by different MPs.

11. Courts Information System (CIS) at District Courts, Rupnagar.

The CIS has been implemented at the district courts.

12. AGMARK-NET

This software has been implemented at Market Committees of Ropar, Anandpur Sahib, Chamkaur Sahib and Morinda. This system is used to monitor the Daily Market Prices of various commodities at Market Committee offices. The information is send to DMI Headquarters as well as to StateBoards/Directorates.
